So on the radio they decided to play Johnny by Yemi
Alade, apart from the fact that her music totally sucks now due to lack of
lyrics that song was a banger then I felt like a glass of whisky and Johnnie
Walker came to mind, and then I decided to write about it. Today is Saturday and
indeed it is a very good day to get plastered if you know what I mean. So to
kick it off let’s describe the forms it comes in shall we? They have different labels;
labels are what they're called. I guess the red label should be the most
common. Welcome to shayorepublic.com the only place where you can be assured of
the quality of information you get concerning alcohol in general. There are
quite a few actually like Red Label, Black Label, Double black label, Green
Label, Blue Label, Gold Label, Platinum Label and others. Now this drink is
some classic piece of art. It's kind of like a liquid Picasso painting and that
there isn't an exaggeration. The Red Label which i have said before and believe
to be the most common has a lotta fakes. And dare i say it is now my least favorite.
Each blend is different in smoothness and taste and awesomeness. Will give a
few of the label’s a brief description in a bit.
·
Red Label: a 75 proof (40% ABV) blend of 35 grain and malt whiskies. It is
intended for making mixed drinks. According to some dude William Manchester
this was the favorite scotch of Winston Churchill, who mixed it with soda. You
must of at least read about Winston Churchill unless you really shouldn't be
drinking alcohol, just saying. Red Label has been reported to be the former
U.S. Vice president Dick Cheney's drink of choice.
·
Black Label: a (40% ABV) blend of about 40 whiskies, each aged at least 12
years. Caol Ila and Talisker are the dominating single malts in this blend.
This drink was the favorite of journalist Christopher Hitchens, as seen in
Blade Runner.
·
Green Label: a (43% ABV) whisky, this variety is a blended malt, meaning it
is made just from single-malts with no grain whisky added. Green Label uses
predominantly four malts "drawn from the four corners of Scotland"
Each of the malts (Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore, and Caol Ila) were selected
but the blender for balance, with each malt whisky matured for a minimum of 15
years.
·
Gold Label: a (40% ABV) blend of over 15 single malts, particularly
Clynelish. Gold Label is commonly bottled at 15 or 18 years and usually
labelled "The Centenary blend" In 2013, it was replaced with a No Age
Statement (NAS) blend, labelled "Gold Label Reserve". The bottle and
labelling of those two Gold Label offerings look very similar but taste
different although some might argue and say different.
·
Platinum Label: a (40% ABV) private blend- aged 18 years to replace the
original Gold Label in the Asian market, and sold alongside Gold Label Reserve.
·
Blue Label: the premium (40-43% ABV) blend with no age statement. Johnnie
Walker Blue Label, also known as Max Walker, is blended to recreate the
character and taste of some of the earliest whisky blends created in the 19th
century. Bottles are numbered serially and sod in a silk-lined box accompanied
by a certificate of authenticity. It's one of the most expensive blended
Scotches on the market, with prices in the range of US $174-$450. For a bottle
of alcohol? How much is that in Naira sef, chai, Money will sha come, *deep sigh*. On top Shayo..
You know the saying that goes with this drink

with that. All these drinks are available at different shops near you or you
